The Four Seasons design was inspired by the Celtic symbol of the Green man, a fertility God evolved from the tree of life as a representation of the beauty and power of nature, and the Pictish/Celtic belief that man as one of the seven created beings was not master, but part of nature. It depicts the Green man in the four seasons, blooming, dieing and re-awakening, through the three phases of Celtic life. These were celebrated at the four great Pictish/Celtic festivals.  Printed onto Celestial Gold Parchment, each one is hand painted, signed and numbered by the artist. Each picture is unique in colour and highlight producing a delightful gift that will be much admired and studied for many years to come.
